Sample evidence boundaries
Sample Approval Scope Record
Add one line per criterion for an identified sample and specification revision. “Approved” is the status you enter for that criterion only. The output keeps holds and unchecked criteria in view; it is not a signature or permission to start production.
Enter records → review differences or arithmetic → resolve missing evidence. No order or approval is generated.
Enter your records
Every field is required for a complete record. Enter 0 only when zero is deliberate; missing values remain unresolved. Use non-confidential references only.
Record fields
- Sample ID and specification revision
- Criterion (e.g. color, overall size)
- Status
- Evidence or observation reference
- Where the sample or record is kept
- Deviation or agreed limitation (write None if none)

Worksheet processing stays in this page. Inputs are not uploaded or stored, and reloading clears them. Page analytics are disabled here. Contact links and the quote form are separate actions; review the result before choosing to share it.
Worked example
An importer records what a vanity sample has and has not been checked for before discussing production with the factory.
Example figures are invented for illustration. They are not product data, prices or a quotation.

How to read it
Only the Color line is entered as Approved, and that status covers color alone. The tool lists the Overall size line as on hold (depth 5 mm over drawing, awaiting confirmation) and the Drawer slide fit line as not checked, giving 2 review items. Those open lines mean the record does not support a production release; that decision stays with the project record.
Split the sample decision into criteria
A sample can be accepted for color while its dimensions or a connection to another component are still unchecked. Give each criterion its own line and use a precise sample ID. Don’t carry a visual approval over to a performance claim the sample review didn’t test.
Keep evidence and limitations together
Name the observation or document that supports each status and where it is kept. State any difference between the sample and the intended production specification. The status list only records what you choose; it can’t judge whether the evidence is enough or whether the person entering it has authority to approve.
Release belongs in the project record
Read the review items to see what is still open. Even if every line says Approved, criteria you didn’t enter are unknown, and production release is never implied. Keep the authorized approval, the retained sample arrangement and change control outside this temporary worksheet.
Sample evidence boundaries questions
Does an approved color mean approved dimensions?
No. Record each criterion on its own line.
Does choosing Approved sign off the sample?
No. It records the status you entered and carries no approval authority.
Can a line be left without an evidence reference?
No. The line stays incomplete and is listed as a review item until evidence is entered.
What if the sample differs from the production specification?
Record the deviation or limitation and get it reviewed by the right person.
Does an all-approved result release production?
No. Criteria you didn’t enter, and the actual approval authority, sit outside this tool.
Discuss the reviewed requirement
Use the result to identify questions for WNS Global. Offered products, specifications and commercial conditions still require separate confirmation.
