Quality Control and Compliance
For basin orders, inspect the surfaces a user touches and the openings an installer must connect. The accepted basin or top drawing controls bowl placement; a finish reference controls appearance separately.

- Inspect the bowl interior, rim and exposed apron under the finish reference
- Check faucet-hole position against the selected faucet and splash area
- Compare the basin underside or top support points with the cabinet plan
- Label the finished unit by room and protect its projecting edges for transit
A technical sheet or test document applies only to the model it names. Ask the destination reviewer which documents are needed for the ordered basin and fittings before making a compliance claim.

What Is a Solid Surface Basin?
A solid surface basin is cast from a mineral-filled composite rather than fired from ceramic. Because the material is solid through its section, a bowl and a vanity top can be formed as a single piece with no rim joint, and surface damage can usually be repaired rather than replaced.
The term does not describe one recipe or one performance level, and it does not mean the top, bowl, faucet and drain arrive together. Confirm the composition, thickness, finish, color reference and supplied components for the specific product.

The bowl and the vanity top are cast as one piece, so there is no rim joint between them. It does not mean the cabinet, faucet or drain are included in the same supply scope.
Yes for selected products. A custom length is reviewed against the measured opening, the wall condition and the scribe allowance, and the drawing must be approved before casting.
Hole count, spacing and diameter are confirmed per order. State the faucet model or the required spacing, and whether the faucet is deck, wall or floor mounted.
Yes for selected models. Color and translucency are agreed against an approval sample before casting, because a screen image is not a color reference.
Solid surface is solid through its section, so scratches and stains can usually be sanded and polished by a qualified repairer. The result depends on the finish and the extent of the damage.
