Offer scope comparison
Supplier Quote Comparison Worksheet
Enter each offer you received for the same item. The worksheet shows where the offers rest on different bases, such as another revision, currency or trade term, so you know what to clarify before comparing prices. It doesn’t rank suppliers, convert currencies or treat similar wording as an equivalent product.
Enter records → review differences or arithmetic → resolve missing evidence. No order or approval is generated.
Enter your records
Every field is required for a complete record. Enter 0 only when zero is deliberate; missing values remain unresolved. Use non-confidential references only.

Worked example
An importer compares two offers for the same shower base order and wants to see which entered bases differ before looking at prices.
Example figures are invented for illustration. They are not product data, prices or a quotation.

Result from the worksheet
Supplier Quote Comparison Worksheet LOCAL WORKSHEET — review before using Line 1 · Supplier 1 offer A: USD 100 / piece; quantity 200. No price ranking. Line 2 · Supplier 2 offer B: USD 90 / piece; quantity 200. No price ranking. Matching entered bases are not proof of technical or commercial equivalence. REVIEW ITEMS Different Trade term and named place: clarify before comparing prices. No product, order, installation or commercial approval is generated.
How to read it
Both offers show quantity 200 and the same specification and inclusions, so the difference is the trade term: FOB Shenzhen against EXW factory gate. The tool flags it as a review item and ranks nothing. USD 100 and USD 90 per piece rest on different delivery responsibilities, so clarify the terms before comparing those prices.
Compare like with like first
Use one worksheet per intended item. Copy each offer’s specification reference, quantity, unit, currency, trade term and inclusions exactly as quoted. A lower price can reflect a missing component or a different delivery responsibility rather than a better offer, so keep different configurations in separate comparisons.
Matching text is not equivalence
Two entries count as matching only when their text is identical once spaces at the start and end are ignored. That says nothing about whether materials, drawings or commercial conditions are the same. Where an inclusion or specification is vague, ask the supplier to clarify it. The worksheet does no currency conversion, landed-cost calculation or supplier scoring.
Use the result as a clarification list
Read each flagged difference against the original quotation, and keep the offer references so every question can be traced. If you change an entry after clarification, keep the original quotation on file elsewhere, because this page saves nothing. Nothing here accepts a quote or places an order.
Offer scope comparison questions
Will this tool find the cheapest equivalent offer?
No. It flags differences in the entered bases and repeats the unit prices you entered, without ranking them.
Can I compare offers in different currencies?
You can enter them, but the currency difference is flagged and nothing is converted or ranked.
Does identical specification text prove identical products?
No. Check the actual drawings and supporting documents.
What goes in the trade-term field?
The quoted term together with its named place, as written in the offer. Don’t fill in a delivery basis the supplier didn’t state.
Is a blank inclusion treated as included?
No. The offer stays incomplete and is left out of the comparison until the inclusion is entered.
Discuss the reviewed requirement
Use the result to identify questions for WNS Global. Offered products, specifications and commercial conditions still require separate confirmation.
