Project quantity reconciliation
Room-Type Fixture Quantity Calculator
Build quantities from the room schedule: rooms × fixtures per room, plus the spares you enter. Lines are grouped only when fixture, specification revision and unit match exactly, so different revisions never merge into one total. No wastage percentage is added.
Enter records → review differences or arithmetic → resolve missing evidence. No order or approval is generated.
Enter your records
Every field is required for a complete record. Enter 0 only when zero is deliberate; missing values remain unresolved. Use non-confidential references only.
Record fields
- Room type
- Number of rooms (whole number)
- Fixture
- Specification and revision
- Unit (e.g. piece, set)
- Fixtures per room (whole number)
- Spares for this line (0 if none)

Worked example
A procurement lead for a hotel fit-out totals fixtures from the room schedule before sending an RFQ, with one revision mismatch left in on purpose.
Example figures are invented for illustration. They are not product data, prices or a quotation.

How to read it
Each line is rooms x fixtures per room + spares: Room type K1 vanities are 40 x 1 + 2 = 42 piece. The one review item is that the wall-mounted vanity appears under Drawing rev B and Drawing rev C, so the tool kept 42 and 25 as separate groups instead of merging them. Before an RFQ, the buyer should confirm which revision is current.
Start from the current room schedule
Use the agreed count for each room type and name the fixture’s specification. A similar product name isn’t enough when handing, finish or another option that defines the order differs; put that difference in the specification reference. If one room type has two fixture configurations, use two lines.
Enter spares deliberately
Each line is rooms × fixtures per room + spares. Enter 0 only when no spares are intended; a blank spares field leaves the line incomplete. The tool doesn’t suggest a spare percentage, and a calculated quantity says nothing about stock availability.
Check the groups before sending an RFQ
Grouping is exact on fixture, specification revision and unit, ignoring spaces at the start and end. Different revisions of the same fixture stay in separate groups and are flagged. Repeated identical room and fixture lines are flagged too, because they may count a room twice. The result is an arithmetic check, not a purchase order.
Project quantity reconciliation questions
Does the calculator add a default spare allowance?
No. Enter the spares you intend, including 0 when there are none.
Are different specification revisions combined?
No. Each revision stays in its own group.
What if one room type has two different basin models?
Use a separate line for each, with its own specification reference.
Does the calculated quantity confirm stock?
No. Availability and order scope need separate confirmation.
Can repeated room lines double-count quantities?
Yes. Check the repeated-line warning before relying on the totals.
Discuss the reviewed requirement
Use the result to identify questions for WNS Global. Offered products, specifications and commercial conditions still require separate confirmation.
