Change review
Specification Revision Comparison Record
Enter the previously approved and the proposed value for each field under review. The worksheet marks each line as unchanged text or changed, lists every change with its named reviewer and flags lines with a missing value. It doesn’t approve a substitution.
Enter records → review differences or arithmetic → resolve missing evidence. No order or approval is generated.
Enter your records
Every field is required for a complete record. Enter 0 only when zero is deliberate; missing values remain unresolved. Use non-confidential references only.

Worked example
A project buyer reviews a proposed vanity top change after approval, listing the material and the dependent dimension and cutout lines.
Example figures are invented for illustration. They are not product data, prices or a quotation.
Example inputs
| Field, with document and revision references | Previously approved value | Proposed value | Reviewer responsible |

How to read it
Each line compares the old and proposed text exactly. Line 1 changes from Engineered quartz to Sintered stone, so it is marked CHANGED and listed as a review item for the Project engineer. Lines 2 and 3 read the same, but UNCHANGED TEXT is not proof the product is unchanged, and a new material may still need its own dimension check.
Compare against a baseline you can find
Put the document numbers and revisions in the field description or the values. “Same as before” isn’t a baseline unless the approval it refers to can be located. Material, finished thickness, cutouts, supports and connections to other components are common fields, but the right list depends on the actual change.
List the knock-on effects too
A new material can call for a separate check of dimensions or fixing. Add those dependent fields as their own lines instead of reading an unchanged color as proof of equivalence. A text difference marks something to review; identical wording doesn’t prove the physical product is unchanged.
Naming a reviewer doesn’t release the change
The reviewer field records who is responsible, nothing more. No signature, acceptance status or commercial instruction is created. If the old or the proposed value is missing, the line is marked incomplete rather than unchanged. Keep the final approval in the project’s controlled records.
Change review questions
Does a matching value approve the revised product?
No. This is a text comparison, not a technical approval.
How should document versions be recorded?
Give the old and proposed document and revision references with the relevant field.
What if the previously approved value is unknown?
Leave it blank and find the baseline; the tool won’t guess it, and the line stays incomplete.
Should dependent details get their own lines?
Yes. Add affected dimensions, supports or connections as separate fields.
Is the reviewer name an electronic signature?
No. It only records who is responsible for the review.
Discuss the reviewed requirement
Use the result to identify questions for WNS Global. Offered products, specifications and commercial conditions still require separate confirmation.
