Product pairing worksheet
Build a Basin and Faucet Pairing Request
A basin and a faucet can each be fully specified while nobody has checked them together. This worksheet puts both identities, the mounting details and the actual test status into one request, so the supplier is asked about this specific pair rather than two separate catalog pages.
- Name the basin and the faucet, including the outlet variant.
- Add the mounting location, hole details and spout-to-bowl geometry.
- State honestly whether the pair has been tested together, then generate and copy the brief.
Original workflow illustration, not to scale. It does not represent a supplied product or an approved design.
Your input
Leave unknown information unconfirmed. These worksheet fields do not submit an inquiry.

Worked example
A procurement lead for a hotel renovation asks a supplier to review one basin and one faucet together before ordering, with the pair not yet tested.
Example figures are invented for illustration. They are not product data, prices or a quotation.
Example inputs
| Basin model or drawing reference | Countertop basin, Drawing rev B |
|---|---|
| Faucet model and outlet variant | Single-lever faucet, model F-200, standard outlet |
| Faucet mounting location | Basin deck |
| Faucet-hole pattern and deck thickness | Drawing rev B, 1 hole, 35 mm deck thickness |
| Spout reach and outlet height | Spout reach 120 mm, outlet height 150 mm, from drawings |
| Supply pressure and flow setting | Not measured yet |
| Pairing test status | No: not tested together yet |
| Test record or open question | Please advise what splash check you would run on this pair |
Result from the worksheet
Basin and faucet pairing request (buyer-prepared; pairing not approved) Basin model or drawing reference: Countertop basin, Drawing rev B Faucet model and outlet variant: Single-lever faucet, model F-200, standard outlet Faucet mounting location: Basin deck Tap-hole pattern and deck thickness: Drawing rev B, 1 hole, 35 mm deck thickness Spout reach and outlet height: Spout reach 120 mm, outlet height 150 mm, from drawings Supply pressure and flow setting: Not measured yet Pairing test status: No: not tested together yet [STILL TO CONFIRM] Test record or open question: Please advise what splash check you would run on this pair Information still to confirm: - Pairing test status This is a buyer-prepared inquiry, not a quotation, availability confirmation, compatibility approval or production release.
How to read it
The brief repeats the entered basin, faucet, hole pattern (1 hole, 35 mm deck thickness) and spout reach 120 mm with outlet height 150 mm; it calculates nothing from them. Because the test status is No: not tested together yet, the tool marks it [STILL TO CONFIRM], so the supplier is asked about this specific pair and the buyer holds the pairing open.
Fit and use are separate checks
Matching faucet holes and mounting dimensions show the pair can be installed. They don’t show how it behaves in use. The brief keeps the two apart.
A changed outlet is a new pairing
If the spout, aerator or basin variant changes, say which earlier record still applies. Don’t carry a result over from a different pair.
The brief asks for evidence; it doesn’t give it
Nothing is calculated from the dimensions you enter. The supplier or project team decides which checks the actual combination needs and what counts as acceptable.
Using this product pairing worksheet
Does the worksheet recommend a spout reach?
No. It records the geometry you propose and asks for that combination to be reviewed.
If both products have drawings, is the pair approved?
No. Drawings support a dimensional check, not an observed use result. Keep those two approvals separate.
How do I enter a basin without a final model number?
Use a traceable drawing or sample reference and note that the selection is provisional.
What if the faucet comes from a different company?
Name that faucet and its outlet variant in the same brief. A separate supplier doesn’t remove the interface question.
Does generating the brief prove the faucet won’t splash?
No. The brief repeats the test status you selected and predicts nothing about performance.
Ready to discuss the scope?
Review the brief, then choose whether to include it in your inquiry. WNS must separately confirm the offered products, specifications and commercial scope. No order is placed here.
