Vanity scope worksheet
Build a Vanity Component and Order-Scope Brief
A vanity photo rarely shows which parts are included. Use this worksheet to list the cabinet, top and other items for one room type, and who is expected to supply each, before asking for a quote. It produces a brief you can review and copy; it is not a price or a confirmation that a model is available.
- Name the room type and how many of it there are.
- Fill in each component, or leave it as Unconfirmed.
- Generate the brief, check the open items, then copy it.
Original workflow illustration, not to scale. It does not represent a supplied product or an approved design.
Your input
Leave unknown information unconfirmed. These worksheet fields do not submit an inquiry.

Worked example
A hotel fit-out buyer scoping the vanity for one guest room type before asking for a quote, with the top and basin to be quoted together.
Example figures are invented for illustration. They are not product data, prices or a quotation.
Example inputs
| Room type or package reference | Room type K1, single basin guest bath |
|---|---|
| Number of this configuration | 48 |
| Cabinet mounting | Wall-mounted |
| Size envelope with units | Approx. 900 W x 500 D x 550 H mm, provisional |
| Cabinet material by part | Cabinet carcass and doors in solid wood, species to be confirmed |
| Top and basin | Quote both top and basin |
| Mirror or mirror cabinet | Supplied by others |
| Drawing or sample reference | Drawing rev B, sheet 3 |
Result from the worksheet
Vanity scope request (buyer-prepared; not a quotation or approval) Room type or package reference: Room type K1, single basin guest bath Number of this configuration: 48 Cabinet mounting: Wall-mounted Size envelope with units: Approx. 900 W x 500 D x 550 H mm, provisional Cabinet material by part: Cabinet carcass and doors in solid wood, species to be confirmed Top and basin: Quote both top and basin Mirror or mirror cabinet: Supplied by others Drawing or sample reference: Drawing rev B, sheet 3 Information still to confirm: - No blank required fields; all entries still require supplier/project review. This is a buyer-prepared inquiry, not a quotation, availability confirmation, compatibility approval or production release.
How to read it
The tool copies the entries into one brief for a single configuration, Room type K1 with a quantity of 48, so the quote request stays tied to that room. Because every required field has an entry, no blank items are listed. The size is marked provisional and the wood species is still to be confirmed, so the supplier must review those before any quotation. The brief is not a price or an availability confirmation.
One configuration per brief
If a double-basin room and a single-basin room differ, make two briefs. A single project total hides which parts belong to which room.
You don’t need a final model yet
Enter the size envelope and mark it provisional. Leave uncertain materials as Unconfirmed rather than turning a wood-look photo into a timber species or core.
Settle who supplies what before pricing
Asking WNS to coordinate an item is a request, not a confirmation. The quotation should confirm who supplies fixings, cutouts and separately chosen accessories.
Using this vanity scope worksheet
Does this worksheet choose a vanity model for me?
No. It organizes the configuration you describe and marks what still needs confirming.
Can I combine several room types in one quantity?
Make a separate brief for each configuration so parts and counts stay clear.
Are the mirror and faucet automatically part of a vanity set?
The worksheet assumes nothing. Ask for an itemized supply list in the quotation.
Will the cabinet size I enter be treated as approved for production?
No. The brief is an inquiry; drawing approval is a separate step.
Is the brief sent when I generate it?
No. Generating or copying the text sends nothing. You decide whether to send it.
Ready to discuss the scope?
Review the brief, then choose whether to include it in your inquiry. WNS must separately confirm the offered products, specifications and commercial scope. No order is placed here.
